Prof. Frangiskos Kolisis is a Emeritus Professor of Biotechnology of the School of Chemical Engineering at The National Technical University of Athens and Adjunct Researcher of the Institute of Biological Research and Biotechnology of National Hellenic Research Foundation. He worked in the Laboratory of Enzymology, Department of Biochemistry, University of Southampton, and also in Enzyme Technology Laboratory, Universite de Technologie de Compiegne, France. Prof. Frangiskos Kolisis has been Session Chairman as well as member of the Scientific Committee in National and International Conferences. He has been coordinator of 18 International and 12 National research projects in Biotechnology area with a total budget of more than 4 million Euros. Amongst his academic activities Professor Kolisis has been a member of the Biotechnology Committee of IUPAC (2005 - present), Chairman and General Secretary of the Panhellenic Union of Biotechnology official member of the Technical Committee for Biofuels of the Ministry of Energy and Environment as NTUA representative, Vice President of Hellenic Open University, member of the board of the National State Scholarships Foundation.
